I am a communications, community building and project management professional based in Berlin.
I hold a BA in International Relations from Grinnell College in the USA, and an Executive Master in Public Administration from the Hertie School in Berlin. I love a challenge and I enjoy working across sectors, and disciplines in order to learn as much as I can. I have experience working with a variety of organizations from international non-profits, to community organizations, to government in Southern and West Africa, Asia, and Europe.
My diverse professional experience includes supporting the Government of Zimbabwe to develop national strategies for HIV testing, and treatment for children and adults; organizing with young political activists in Tunisia, Egypt, Ghana, the Czech Republic and Cambodia; building a program for circular economy start-ups in Berlin, Germany, among many others. I am a regular contributor to projects aimed at connecting African policy experts and entrepreneurs in the German diaspora, including the African Policy Initiative, and the first phase of the African Development Bank and German Development Ministry Entrepreneur Establishment Program.
I have also initiated several of my own projects, namely Sangano Black Business Hub, a co-working initiative in collaboration with diaspora entrepreneurs, as well Paivapo, a story series about the diaspora experience. I am committed to building a more inclusive, mindful and socially just world and collaborating with communities to create new models for living and working together.
